Since installing Service Pack 2 I have 2 problems with
    my PC
    1. Whenever I try to uninstall a program I get the
message "Could not open INSTALL.LOG file"

    2. I have noticed that a very large amount of memory
has been used up because files are duplicated in the
System 32 folder / Service Pack 2 File folder
Is it safe to delete either version of the duplicate
    files?

By 'memory', can I assume you mean 'hard drive space'? If so, the 'bloat' caused by installing the SP2 upgrade, and how to get rid of it is well documented here:

The uninstall issues you are having are likely with programs which were installed before the SP2 upgrade. Anything you've installed since is likely ok. I don't have an answer for you on that one, except maybe a removal program such as Add/Remove Plus or similar:

I've noticed this problem as well.
Also when I click on my TeamSpeak icon I get a service pack 2 install wizard.

    *confused*
