I am getting crit errors booting me out of online game. I have been told that it is the new install of the service pack 3 and i should go back to service pack 2. I have tried to uninstall sp 3 vie add/remove programs, it does not show there any more but my system still shows as having sp3 and i cannot download sp2 due to "an updated versian already being on the puter" anyone have any ideas how to get rid of sp3 and go to sp2? i'm not very puter literate and am sick of tossing money away at the repair store. any advice is greatly appreciated.

    Welcome to MajorGeeks!

Do you have Windows System Restore on? If so, you can restore the computer to a pre SP3 condition.

Or click start > run and paste this line in and hit enter %windir%\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe

Also before removing SP3, what are the critical errors your getting in the game? the full error is needed, and may hold a clue as to what is causing this and could be able to be fixed, as most errors can come from a 3rd party application that needs updating, many online games could use Sun Java, Adobe Flash etc so they are worth updating.

    Hi

Is this happening playing a game and if so which one? or just randomly?

I would make sure you have latest Nvidia driver and/or even reinstall the graphic driver if you have the latest already, also update the game if an update exists, seen similar errors produced by games before.
