I just installed a second physical hard drive in my computer as a slave. The Master hard drive has Windows XP on it. The second one I just installed will be used for data only. I vaguely remember how to set drives up in XP. So well I went into Disk Management, right clicked the new second hard drive, initialized the disk, than right clicked again selected setup new partition, chose primary partition, assigned all space to it, left ntfs, default allocation size, assigned a drive letter, and hit finish. The wizard did the rest, and it seems as if the drive is good to use now. I can see it in "My Computer," but before I store any data on it was this the correct way to setup the drive in Disk Management?

I didn't intend for this drive to have many partitions, or anything like that. Just all space used for the one drive alone to store data. Hope I did it the correct way.

    Thanks :major
