Setting Up Wifi Channels?

Hi,

First of all, I'm really sorry if this is not the proper section to post this, I was unsure if this was hardware or software related.

Basically, I've been to mates houses where their internet is set up with various channels from the same router.
So they'd have [WiFi name] 2.4, [WiFi name] 2.8, [WiFi name] 5.0, [WiFi name] 5.1... And so on and so on.

How do I go about this? I've been looking into the routers' configuration and I can't seem to find it.

Those guides won't enable any channel additions. Channels can be changed but not added

Yeah, I know that I also use InSSIDer to see which is the best channel at the time I'm looking it up. However, not all the tenants knows how. Also, these separate channels I want to setup have something to do with 2.4ghz and 5ghz connections? I'm not sure. Not too savvy when it comes to internet hardware configs etc.

 

Doing a search for the Technical Specifications of the exact router model/number in that property will tell you whether it supports 2.4 and 5 ghz connections. It it doesn't then a new one would be required.
With such a router when connecting a WiFi enabled device both connection options will show.

I'm using the BT Business one, it's the newest router they have freshly sent a few days ago. It does support both as in the router configs shows both. What I can't see is that option I'm looking for or I just don't know what I'm looking for.
