I purchased a new PC today which came with, of course, Windows 11 (consumer choice is non-existent). What I'd like to know is things to change in settings so that Microsoft and others aren't collecting all sorts of data and end up knowing more about me than I do. Any advice or links to websites, articles, etc. would be gratefully appreciated.

What about firewall and anitivirus? On my previous PC (running Windows 10) I used the ones which are part of Windows having been advised on here that they worked and third party software wasn't required. I do however, have Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware on my old machine, and intend to install on the new one, to scan items I've downloaded prior to opening/running them as well as having checked them out with Microsoft Defender (which may have a new name in Windows 11 for I know).
