Setting up wireless network

    i have a desktop running windows xp with a cable modem connection with a SMC EZ Connect 54mpbs 802.11G/B Wireless PCI Card. N I have a laptop running windows 98 with a D-Link AirPlus Xtreme G-DWLG650-108Mbps 802.11g 2.4GHz. I want to share n internet connection + filesharing. Do i need any additional accessories(hub, router access point...). Thanks Matt

    You will need a wireless router to share that connection. I would go with a 802.11 G 108Mbps or 54 Mbps

    yes! like wookie said, ya you need wireless router b/c i just got mine yesterday finally and it r0xz!!!

    What router could i use... Could I use a D-Link DI-524 802.11G 54Mbps

    The whole idea of a router, wireless or otherwise, is to hook the cable or DSL modem to it and connect the computers you wish to share the internet connection to the router's ports.

    A D-Link DI-524 would work.
