setting up wireless

I'm getting ready to set up a wireless router. I havn't purchased one yet because I want to do some learnin' first. Anybody have any good links so I can learn the ins and outs and the whatnots having to do with set ups and software I'll need to protect my access?

 

The one and only good tip I can give you is on the initial setup use the DSL cable as that will ensure you get all settings and info done correctly..DO NOT connect anything before you Pop in the disc that comes with it, and follow the instructions to the absolute letter. Once the Router settings are configure via the DSL connections you can reboot setting the up the wireless, but you should have posted this in 'Network' as you will get more response there.:cool
