setup files freeze vista

hello so i got a new laptop toshiba satelitte and it came with vista premium 32bit i believe anyway so i went to download a game a f2p mmo megaten online and when the download got done i went to run the setup file and then the folder it was in would freeze and i have to do alt ctrl del and go through the task manager to stop the process anyway so i thought maybe it was just the game and i got rid of it so i went to direct2drive and dl indigo prophecy and it got done and the same thing happend i've run a couple setup programs on the laptop like the ffxi bechmark program and i have eq2, f.e.a.r. and ffxi installed so i'm not sure what's wrong.

 

i know on MegaTen website it listed vista on it

 

Normally as you are running Vista it will tell you when you need administrator privileges but just in case.
Right click the setup ex and from the drop down list select "run as administrator'" and see if it will run.
