    Hello,

I have a Windows 2003 Standard SP2 server on which it prompts an error when Add/Remove Windows Components is clicked.

Error: Setup library iis.dll could not be loaded, or function OcEntry could not be found. Contact your system administrator. The specific error code is 0x7e.

Googling isn't much of a help as I found no resolution. Did sfc/ scannow to no dice.

    Anyone resolved this issue?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you actually have that iis.dll (in C:\Windows\system32\setup) ?

    hi pwillerner,

yes i have that iis.dll file from c:\windows\system32\setup\ directory.

I tried copying a same file from a same server specs but to no luck. I also expanded iis.dl_ from i386 folder but still the same error.

I found out from other forums that this issue can't be resolved even by Microsoft... Others say that reinstallation of OS is the key but it would affect third party software if I do that ofcourse..

    Thanks for your reply...

Instead of reinstalling you could try a repair installation, which would leave installed software intact.

But I am not even sure if this option exists on Win 2003 Server.
