I have fdisked a hard drive and partitioned it. I have also formated it. Now I'me trying to load windows XP and I keep getting the following error:

    setupdd.sys could not be loaded

I have tried two differant CD's and the same error.

    Any suggestions?

    thanks

If you have tried two different CDs, I'd point fingers at your CD rom drive.

Either its dirty, malfunctioning, or these are burned CDs.

If these are burned CDs, you will receive no help here whatsoever.

It might be other hardware if your CD rom drive seems OK. I would start with the ram, make sure it is seated securely. If that doesn't help, unplug any USB and Peripheral devices.

Don't get all bent out of shape. I said if, which doesn't imply guilt at all.
