SETUPREG.HIV the error code is 14

    I have a HP DV9009 laptop, I did a system recovery reformatted the drive and instead of windows booting up I got this error message:
    File SETUPREG.HIV could not be loaded.
    The error code is 14

    Setup cannot continue. press any key to exit. help pls!:confused

    No I don't think that will help me...My OS will not even load up at this point, I wiped everything clean and started over...when I reformatted the drive...I was reading that same link earlier today while troubleshooting...thanks for the speedy reply, any other suggestions?:(

    It's not impossible that the restore partition is still there. If so you can reset the computer to factory settings. Look it up at HP's site.
