SFC gets it wrong

Okay...... i do a sfc /scannow, and i have XP home

why oh why does it ask me for an XP Pro cd?

 

Seems this is a normal error of WinXP, and it should gladly accept the Home CD even if it asks for the Pro CD.

But if not try the following:

1. Insert the Home CD and cancel the Autorun application before running SFC
2. Try to press Retry several times and it might get through it properly
3. Check that the registry sourcepath to the WinXP install-drive is pointing to the CD-Drive where you insert the Home CD.

The person that installed my OS used the CD-Writer to install off?

seems to be working now, after several retys it settles down to work..
