SFC results/repair help?

Hello all.

I'm currently re-trying my annual "fix my disabled services error 5: access denied" attempts, and the first step was to run System File Checker.

There was one item which it could not repair:

Now, I understand that one main way to fix things which SFC throws up is to re-install a fresh copy of that particular file from a boot disc. However, as my PC came with windows pre-installed, that process will be a long and difficult one for me.

So I was wondering if anybody could shed any light on what this file mscormmc.cfg is, what it does, whether I should have it and how important it is. If it really doesn't serve much function, I may just leave it be.
