   can you tell me the exact syntax you type to copy sfc from cd to hdd?
   
   i am having a similar issue and sfc is currently not on the hdd and i am not sure where it is located on cd and how to get it(and where to put it) on the hdd so it will run in recovery console.

   Unfortunately ....
   sfc /scannow will not run from the Recovery Console ....
