I am constantly getting an error message in XP Pro. It says...

    sgtray.exe - Application Error

    The exception Single Step
A single step or trace operation has just been completed.
(0x80000004) occurred in the application at location 0x755e3b69.

Click on OK to terminate the program.

When I try to run Hijack This, the program is unable to complete the scan saying that the program encountered a problem and needs to close. Also the same error as above came up at the same time as the Hijack this program error.

I ran AVG and Spybot scans and they did not pick up anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

StorageGuard (which is what sgtray.exe is for) is not malware. See: http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/sgtray

It could also be Sonic Solutions software's tray program. Sonic is CD/DVD burning sotware that probably came with your PC.

You need to post in the Software Forum which is where I will move this thread to.
