Share Or Not Share

I have Win7. can I not Share a USB Hard Drive with a User Account or do I have to use the Group Policey Editor?

Or can U go into my USB Hard Drive and just have One Folder Not To Be Shared with a User?

 

Are you just wanting to secure a certain file/folder so it can not be accessed across user accounts? If so then I would suggest putting it in a zip file with password protection. That makes it much less likely anyone can open it. You can do that with 7-Zip File Manager.

 

I am on an ADMIN Account and I want to keep my User Account from Opening a Folder on my USB Hard Drive?

 

Yea I think I would just zip the folder with password protect. That's the only real way to know nobody can access the folder but still access the drive. Or just password protect the whole usb drive but that will lock everyone but you out of it.

 

Yes I think I would Like to Lock the Whole USB Drive to the Limited User Account.

I have 2. Accounts on my Win7. System.

My ADMIN Account and the Limited Account.

I would Like to Block the Limited User from the Whole USB Drive this would be good????

 

Unplug and lock away the USB drive when the Limited User Account is using the computer.
