Shared Printer problem

All of a sudden, The XP computer stopped sharing the printer. I've checked everything including firewalls on both the computer, and the router.
Then I removed the printer drivers, and reinstalled updated drivers. Still a problem sharing the printer. I can't find a problem with the printer or the sharing configuration.
I have two computers that I share the printer through XP computer. The two computers have different operating systems, one has Linux the other is Windows7. I have never had a problem until recently.

 

Did you find the problem with the printer? It almost sounds like there is a bad microsoft update around again, a few people are having sharing issues.

 

I still don't know the cause. But I did fix the problem.
I went to add and remove programs, and selected Microsoft programs. Then unchecked file and printer sharing then rebooted. After the reboot, reinstalled file and printer sharing. Volta the problem fixed.
