shareware/freeware discussion forum?

I'd like to discuss freeware and shareware with other users, but I believe it may be a little off-topic here. Can anyone recommend a good board specifically dedicated to freeware and shareware discuassion?

 

How bout this one? Its not really off topic, since its the software forum on a shareware/freeware distribution website..?

Can you by any chance recommend a good bookmark manager? One that detects dead links? Something that also works with both IE and Netscape?

 

I tried that one already. It had a nice interface, and it allowed me to weed out duplicate links. However the dead link checking didn't work. It claimed that about 98% of my links were dead, even though my browser can access the vast majority of those sites fine.

The dead link removal is the #1 thing I need right now, so I was looking for something else.

I cannot vouch for any of these but I would try and see if they are listed here first. By the way, which platform are you on?

 

I had the same thing happen with AM Deadlink. Never bothered to troubleshoot it but I'll try some of these others that have been posted

BTW PT, IMO post away, a mod can always move it if it's not in the appropriate forum.

 

I just tried another one (Bookmark-Finder) and had the same problem with screening out deadlinks. Maybe something to do with being behind a firewall? Not sure why it's a problem for most of them, but a small percentage get through anyhow. I'm going to try it again from home.
