Sharing a scanner over the network?

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if it is possible to share a SCANNER over our LAN network? Now this isn't the traditional scanner. I'm talking about the Cannon Multi-Purpose 700 printer/scanner/copier. I have already shared the printer, but it will not recognize the scanner.

Is it possible to share the scanner being it's a multipurpose printer?

Since a Scanner is Not a regular Shared devices on Networks. The scanner part of the All in One printers would not share, unless it was made specially for sharing.
