After a malware desinfestation, I'm having problems to connect one of my computers to the homegroup, i believe that some of the cleaning procedures has turn off the homegroup and sharing settings.

How can i see whats wrong?
Is this the right place for this thread?

    Thanks

If you click on start then type homegroup into those options, you will bring up the home group settings. I would start with removing yourself from the homegroup and readded your pc back. If you dont remember your home group password, go to a working machine and do the same thing and it will let you view your current password.

Thanks Colemanguy, but already done that, the problem is that on the machine I had to do the cleaning (rootkit malware) is kind of "locked" and any changes I do to the sharing and homegroup settings just wont stick they go away. I guess that in the cleaning procedure the programs used done something to the sharing settings just to be sure the rootkit malware wouldn´t exploit that...
