Sharing Dell AIO 922 from XP to 7

Hello anybody who wants to try to help:
I am having a problem.
As I am a student it is important that I be able to print things. Currently, though, I need to email my documents to myself, wait for a turn on the main computer (I usually get the chance every three to four hours), open the email, download it, and print it like that. I would love to be able to print directly from my Windows 7 laptop.
HOWEVER;
I just can't seem to get the 7 to communicate with the 922 that is attached to the xp. I have tried to install a vista driver in compatibility mode, map the printer to a local port, and just allow 7 to install it itself. No cigar.:cry
Does anybody have any ideas?
