sharing files with every1 in the house

i have 4 computers in my house 2 laptops with wireless connection and 2 desktop with lan and a linksys wireless router i want to know is theres a way we all can share my media files with everybody in the house

You just have to have the folders shared and permissions assigned

Okay ...right click my computer ....click remote ...choose allow others to connect to this computer ...then click select remote users ...must be same users on all puters. since it will promt for user and password to connect to shared folders.

Windows networks is really bad, its a pain to configure and half the time it doesnt work, good luck on trying to get the computer to regonize each other

To add to TimW's advice... also disable any software firewalls while setting up an network as they can interfear, ( i.e. Zone Alarm for instance needs to have the Trusted Zone security level set to medium, otherwise the other PCs on the network will not see each other, other firewalls may have similar setting )
