    Hello,

I've recently set up two new user accounts on XP Pro. One for me (which is an administrators account) and one for my brother (which is a limited account).

In his account, he's unable to access shared folders or the network drive (Z:). Is there any way of making certain folders accessible to him without changing his account to an Administrator's account - he tends to use the account over a Virtual Private Network so I don't want to give him admin access for security reasons.

While I'm on the subject, is this the best way for us to share content? We're a business partnership that has recently begun working in separate locations. Is a VPN the best way for us to access each other's network files, or are we missing something obvious?

    Thanks!

You can right click on the folders you want him to have access to and change the security settings. Right clickm the folder and go to settings. Go to the security tab and you can add all users to have full access or just had his local user account to have full access to the folder. Hope this helps.
