shell32 error

Hey,
Ive been busy trying to rid my computer of spyware these last two days and all seemed to go to plan......I then decided today to delete my temporary internet files just to get rid of some unneccessary stuff and got the following error : An exception occurred while trying to run "shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL " C:\WINDOWS\System32\inetcpl.cpl",Internet Options

Also if I try even to view my temporary internet files the microsoft "send/dont send error report" message box comes up and the control panel is closed down...

Tried googling it and came across a number of sites offering to repair the shell32.dll but Im not sure whether or not to trust them!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated lads...cheers,
