    I read this review

They seemed to have a high opinion of it. I was interested to learn it ran on the bitdefender engine, which I have always trusted to do a great job. Looks like a winner, though I would stick with Nod32 myself.

I would say no. I had Shield Deluxe 2008 and previous to today's experience I may have said that it was a good program. However, not certain as my expiration date is the 30th, the admn password I had on the program will not allow me to make changes, nor close the program, basically nothing. Which means I can not even get the program removed.

Previously I had used their customer service for a couple things. Today my first call from number on PC Shield site, the tech hung up on me. The second tech directed me to follow his instructions and he would retrieve my password.

I am kicking myself now. He began going through all kinds of things, saying this or that and I said I WANT MY PASSWORD. He said for a fee we can fix, and I said there WAS nothing wrong with my operating system prior to his accessing my computer. He put me on hold and I hung up. He called back and I said I wanted nothing further to do with him.

I then got an email from some software tech service thanking me for using their service, at the moment I still can not discern whether there is a charge or not. However, I have registered a complaint with PC Shield, and did not click on any of the links in the email. I did email a complaint to the address of the tech service email.

No I'd find something else. I had been researching AV replacements and found suggestions for several that others recommended. Initially I went with the 2008 as I had read several tech recommendations, yet I have not seen it mentioned in any this year.
