Shipping Worldwide

Does anyone know any good sites that deal in US dollars but will ship hardware parts worldwide, specifically the UK. It is a whole lot cheaper to buy components in dollars rather than the pound due to exchange rate and VAT. I may just end up purchasing everything and having it sent to a friend's house in the states and then shipping it over here, but that will be very pricy. Greatly appreciated, Thanks.
