Shockwave updater

    Hi,
    I got exactly the same problem.
    I’ve tried to do what Matacumbie suggest, but on Task Manager I do not have PostUpdater.
    What should I do?

    Hi

    Are you using XP like the original poster of that thread?

    Download and install CCleaner and click Tools > Startup and look for Shockwave and if its listed delete it.

    If you dont see it running, check the folder location Matacumbie mentions and delete the file.

    I would though uninstall Shockwave if found in Add-Remove and install the latest version HERE

    Hi, Thanks for reply.
    Yes I got Windows XP. However, I don’t have Shockwave on CCleaner and click Tools > Startup. I don’t have either Schockwave in Add/remove probrams.
    Also I don’t have PostUpdater.exe as Matacumbie suggested on C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Shockwave 1\PostUpdater.exe.
    I just deleted Shockwave and installed the lates version, hope that’s fine.
