    OK so I like a VERY clean DeskTop so I have nothing on it but My Computer and Recycle Bin.
    What I have a bunch of Shortcuts.
    I have then stored in Start Menu.
    See Pic.
    They all work great EXCEPT............
    When I restart my Computer I lose them.
    They are all still there but they no longer work till I re-Do them...
    Driving me nuts!
    I have been banging my head trying to figure it out and I give up.
    I ALWAYS try to figure it out myself but I just can't so I come to the EXPERTS!
    Pic is pretty self explanatory.
    Running "Windows 7 Starter"

    The easy solution is not to store them in the start menu. Put them on your desktop. That was designed for easy access. Everything there can be kept tidy by a right click on the desktop. Under the "view" option you can select "auto-arange".

    @Tony----->
    I knew that but there are some hidden files like Ctrl+Alt+P is for Passwords.
    Don't want that on my Desktop
    I want to do it this way. There must be a solution and I WILL find it somehow.

    HI. What I did was to right click the desktop and make a new folder. I called mine "stuff" , and dragged all my desktop icons in there. So all I have now are the recycle bin and the stuff icon showing. Now I can see my wallpapers with nothing in the way.

    carmello2003, I think you need to place your shortcuts in a different location, try:
    C:\Users\Your_UserName\Favorites

    I am not a Newbe to the computer.
    I need someone that knows more than I.
    I know how to make a shortcut and hidden files.
    I can even put 1GB of info into a Picture.
    I want a Shortcut ctrl+Alt+1 that points to Facebook to still be there after a computer restart.

    Can Someone Answer This Question?

    All I can say is, what I posted worked for me using DuckDuckgo instead of FaceBook. There is no shortcut on the desk top. It is in the Windows Favorites folder for the user as well as in the I.E. favorites folder for the user.

    The Ctrl+Alt+1 key combo worked after reboot. Did you compare your thumbnail to the one I posted?

    If I put them there they can be easily accessed by anyone using my computer.
    I have 1 file called "Passwords" with over 5 of my passwords in an Excel file.
    They must be hidden
    Also when re-booting they were still there but didn't work

    OK so I found out that using AUTOHOTKEY and writing Scripts solved the problem.

    Example to open EXCEL program named ALL MOVIES DEC 2014
    (^! means Ctrl+Alt)
    Script below

    ^!m::
    run C:\Users\user\Documents\FIX ME DRIVE\Start Menu\ALL MOVIES DEC 2014
    return
    or to
    Open Google...

    ^!G::
    run www.google.com
    return

    This will run/open any program and pretty do any shortcut you'd like.
    You need to start it so I put it in my start menu and mad it a hidden file so it is invisible.

    Will also run Macros and a Recorder.
    Very Helpful tool
    Thanks For All Your Suggestions.
    I Like This One :-D
