shortcuts on desktop, window opens 1/4 size

    Every shortcut on my desktop opens in a window that is in the center of my screen and about 1/4 the normal size. I tried to maximize it, close it and no luck. I also tried to drag it larger and go to file - close (exit) and the same thing.

    I run Windows XP with SP2 and IE Version 7.

    Any ideas?
