Should a 64 be at this temp???

I have a feeling my cpu is running a bit hot. Using MBM to have a look at temps and it says my cpu is running at 72, then suddenly goes down to 53 then goes back up. I'll have a look in the bios and then post more, but wasn't sure how hot a 64cpu should run??

 

what kind of processor do you have agian?

 

My 3500 ran mid 50's in winter,but now it started touching 60,so I'v took it all apart to do some serious case hacking,I'v also got an akasa ak-859 copper heatsink,which before I dismantled Idled the cpu at 33 degree's at 22 db.

60 was too hot for me,72's smokin!

 

72 is not looking good anything 60 or below is fine but i suggest u keep it no higher then 50 for a properly performance n stability

I'll give everest a go though and see what it says.

 

Everest says cpu is at 35 and my motherboard is at 22 (celcius) so all is ok!
