    Hey

Im trying to make a decision on should i make a custom computer or just buy Dell.

    If i went custom i would spend around $650. Get a P4 3.0ghz, 256mb video card, 512mb ram, Acus motherboard, 160gb harddrive.

Where if i went dell i would get something around $900. P4 3.0ghz, 512mb ram, 128mb graphics card, 160gb harddrive, 17'' LCD MONITOR.

Which way do you think i should go?

What are your pros and cons?

    Thanks...

keep in mind that dell motherboard replacements are 2-3 times more costly than the asus.
if you buy the dell, get the inhouse warranty

read what you wrote my friend, you answered your own question, and IMHO NEVER GO WITH A PC BUILT ON AN ASSEMBLY LINE.. You should build one yourself. It's cheaper, and you can set things up the way you want, not the way Dell wants...
pluse you may feel good about building one, instead of buying one..
