showmenudelay problems

ok, I always change my showmenudelay when i get a new computer, now i have a hp it has never let me change the start menus value, when i restart the computer it always defaults back to 400. any ideas?

thanks for the link, but thats not what i am looking for. the right click context menus are fine. in fact I can change all the menushowdelay values in the registry, except for the start menu ones (hkey_current_user\controlpanel\desktop\menushowdelay) and (hkey_users\s-1-5-21-1532701030-2709045371-549870077-1003\controlpanel\desktop\menushowdelay)

those are the two that keep defaulting back to 400ms, the rest of them stay at the 100 that i changed them to. I have changed the value manually in the registry, and also by using tweakui, no mater how i change it, it still defaults back to 400. makes no sense to me.

 

anyone??? lol. this thing is driving me nuts.
