SHRegGetValueW Error

The procedure entry point SHRegGetValueW could not be located int he dynamic link library SHLWAPI.dll


I had the same issue after pwr black out and UPS fkd up, windows corrupt had to repair,

Some progs needed to be reinstalled, but IE wont open just errors, Im using firefox, but i want to export everything inc IE settings,

anyone

I can make a couple of suggestions.
If you have XP,sp1, Its possible that sp2 is not installed correctly,as this can cause errors - but I would suggest you click start, run, and type in CHKDSK /R, clicko.k, SHUT DOWN, AND IT WILL RUN A CHECK ON RESTART.
Failing this, I would start, run, and type in
sfc /scannow, click o.k ,with you windows disk in the cd/dvd rom drive, and have the protected files checked that way, and replaced.
You may have to sit and keep pressing retry, for some time, until the blue line finishes.
