shutdown problems in win 2k

    Im having shutdown problems with win 2k. When i click shutdown widows will display a message "its ok to turn off the computer", but it will not turn of the power, meaning the whole system wont turln off, my power supply stays on as if my computer is hibernating. Hope a quick solution is possible

    Try to disable the following in the motherboard BIOS (It allows Windows to control instead of the BIOS):

    -Advanced Power Management (APM)
    -Plug and Play (PnP) OS installed

    Else hold in the Power button for 5-10 secs and it should force a power off.
