shutting down and restart issues... :|

Ok, im not too sure which section of the forum should of been in but here goes.

Whenever I goto restart my computer, weather or not its been on for many hours of just a few minutes It will NOT shut down. It just hangs on "saving your settings" ....i thought Id leave it for abuot 5mins and just see if it shut itself down but no luck, was there for about 10-15mins then I just held the power button in to get it off. After this I then struggle to boot my computer up within 15mins :|

Any ideas...

Yes I have done all that is in there. One of the first things I had done.

 

I did the Malware removal guide like you said and posted the 3 possible logs I could get. Hopefully there will be some info in them that MAY be a problem. I have blackvipers safe configurating on here already too....

 

Thought Id mention that is a scan under normal boot up, so its showing all the tools used that were instructed in the malware removal guide, normally I have only 1. I also have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ with 2gig of RAM. My comp runs fine once its booted up, its just taking bloody ages to boot up and it wont shut down at all, weird as it only just started doing it recently. So i duno :|

 

I had done all the required in the malware guide and followed the help i got in my thread, sadly it did not help my shutdown or boot up time.....he did say though it would be unlikely to help my shutdown problem. Since the pop up blocker thing I hae reformated my computer so that aint a problem anymore, it was under control anyway, was just pop ups that werent being blocked when i went to some sites. Im still on IE 6, which is sp2 updated yes ....Im not too fond of IE7 so did not update. I use firefox from time to time as well.

Im still stumped lol

 

Hey, after doing all the above and some online searching I couldnt find much around to help so I just went for the format to solve the problem Got windows xp back on. Just got one small glitch, its not a huge problem just a annoyance. When I goto control panel, in classic view of course and open "user accounts" I get this script error

Whichever box i hit out of yes and no the user accounts still come up, was just a odd one. I'll post a SS too just to show you
