Guess this could be a hardware or software issue. I have a machine that shuts down in the middle of boot up gets to the point were the windows xp home edition splash screen appears and goes back and fourth starting to load. then just shuts down, reboot and it comes up to the window asking to load normally or safe mode. It seems to load fine in safe mode. I ran malware checks etc in safe mode. reboot regular mode shuts off at the windows xp splash screen again before it gets to the login or desktop.

I no it can be file curuption or hardware, what would be the best logs to look at would any be created at this early boot time? Any help would be great.thanks

Turn off the reboot on error to get a BSOD so we can see the error message and get a number.
