Okay so here's the deal. I've just got a new psu so I'm assuming it isn't that.. it's 800w. My computer should be cool enough but if anyone can recommend a program that will actually save the records so I can view them after it shuts off that'd be appreciated.

My computer's just been transported from the UK to Arizona, my new home. I bought a new power supply due to different wattage, same as my last one 800w. It shuts off when playing games and after a while working in 3ds max and udk.

    My specs are as follows:

    AMD FX-8120 Eight-Core Processor ~3.1GHz
    MSI MS7596 motherboard
12GB DDR3 RAM (Normally 16GB, one stick didn't make the journey)
    EVGA NVIDIA GTX 550Ti
    500GB SATA HDD
    LG Blu-ray rewriter

I think that's it.. I may have missed something but I don't think I did.. The cpu is cooled by an arctic freezer 13 so I don't believe that's the issue. I've cleaned out all dust and I have this case with front, back and one top fan installed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Hagss

    Welcome to Major Geeks.

Double check the NVIDIA website to be sure you have the latest drivers installed. Don't use EVGA's website, it isn't always as up-to-date as NVIDIA's.

If this doesn't solve the problem, re-post here and we can look at some other possibilities.

    Hope this helps. :)
