Sigmatel no audio outputdevice

I just recently change my computer from Windows XP to Vista. When i down loaded everything i have a no audio output device install . i have also gone to the website were toshiba has the technical suppport and i still can't figure it out. Can someone help me i have a toshiba satelite A55-S1064. I have search everything in the internet about the specs but can't find what type of controler it has. I have tryed everything plz help .....

 

The Toshiba website has no Vista drivers for the sound card (SigmaTel WDM Audio ) but the Xp should work

Yes i understand that Toshiba doesn't have Vista . I just to have XP but i Change the programs to vista because i was having alot of problems with Xp. When i down loaded Vista to this computer i get the No Audio Output Device and also it saids that under Sound on playback there is no Audio devices install. I have try everything even those down loads but still doesn't work . Does it mean that i have to go back to XP????

 

No just install the XP driver

 

I have down loaded both of the patches and the first one that i down loaded it didn't do nothing. I also try the second one and it didn't let it down load at all. I appologize for taking all your time with this problem that i have.

 

Sry i forgot to mention also that the second one is not valid with Win32 is there another way to valid the application with?????

 

Give this a try. It is a download from Intel and is Vista ready.
