Silly question/XP sp 2

I don't know how I did it but I'd like to undo having my desktop icons on the bottom taskbar or toolbar or whatever you call it---I can't seem to find how to do that---I know it's simple but I can't figure it out

 

Right-click on the taskbar

select 'toolbars'

deselect 'quicklaunch'

 

thanks---I also had desktop folders checked and when I unchecked 'em they went away ---- thanks!!! I feel kinda dumb but......not all the time
