    Hey all!

I've been having issues trying to get Silverlight to work with Firefox or Google Chrome. This problem seemed to have began when I tried to upgrade my graphic card and didn't like the outcome so I switched back to my old one. I dunno if that's the cause, but that's what was happening around the time.

Other than that, right now I can't use Silverlight via Amazon videos and Netflix is just dead. All they say is that the Plug-in couldn't load. Netflix has an option to use HTML 5 payer but it's not available for Win7 users..I was told. There's other items that have stopped working too -VLC Player - but the main get is for Amazon and Netflix to recognize it.

I've done a lot of fix-it's like Uninstall/Reinstall, but it didn't work. Also my C.Cleaner Registry log is littered with a bunch of Silverlight Registry keys.

    Any help would be great.

I don't use Silverlight but I've had in installed on a Windows 7 and I also saw a slew of Silverlight registry keys when I ran CCleaner's registry cleaner. I had CCleaner remove them, so I am inclined to think you should do that too. You can always re-install Silverlight if necessary.

NOTE: Any time I use CCleaner's registry cleaner, I back up the registry when prompted. Always best to do this to stay on the safe side.

I found info on netflix' website about Silverlight; perhaps you should review it.
What are the system requirements for Silverlight? and,
How do I install Silverlight on my Windows PC?

    Thanks for the reply.

As of know I do believe that I have correct versions of Chrome and Firefox unless there's specific 32bit/64bit downloads of these browsers. I've never been asked whether I want to download a 32 or 64bit version. I did however went ahead and reinstalled Firefox with ver.28 and on the file it read as x86.

I'll do with the Registry as you suggested. ^^

Did some searching. Apparently, SL works fine with Internet Explorer as it once did with Chrome and FF. I looked into the links you gave about compatibility and I believe that I am running to Browsers that are 32bit. FF28 and the latest Chrome ( 33.0.1750.154 m )should also be compatible, so once again I am lost :I

Co-worker of mine brought me his laptop a few months ago that was having issues with Silverlight . . . mainly Netflix stopped working. He had tried un-installing it and then a re-install, but was blocked by the install routine saying Silverlight was already installed on the system . . . except it wasn't; it wasn't even listed in the program list. After a bit of research I came up with this Microsoft KB article:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2608523

The automated Fix didn't work for me, but the manual instructions did. I was able to do the manual fix, and then re-install silverlight. Netflix and the other silverlight based things he did worked fine after that. This may not fit the exact issues you are having, but it's worth a look.

I did as you requested. When I ran the .cmd file as Admin the box shows up and the script runs then closes, then I did it again. I was then able to reinstall SL and I still get the " Could Not Load SilverLight Plugin" error
