I have a Dell Latitude 410. The back panel has a 15pin VGA (video) connection that I hooked up to a cable conversion dongle VGA to S-video/RCA Y/R/W analog and then hooked up a RCA cable to both the dongle and the tv. I'm using a video analog Y/R/W port (VIDEO IN -2 ) on the Tv. I've changed the input on the TV to VIDEO-IN-2. I've turned them on starting the laptop first then the tv. I've located the FN key and the CRT/LCD F5 key and have hit both together and held for 5-30sec. Nothing works. I'm getting some static noise through the speakers but that's all.
I've played in the control panel with display, add hardware, video card settings, etc. I'm out of ideas.
can anyone think of something new???

    Hi Dan,

Most TVs call the front RCA connectors Video-2 in. The backs are Video-1. Maybe?

    Good Luck, Jim

Also, change your resolution to either 800x600 or 1024x768. Older TVs can't handle high resolution.
