simple audigy question

I have any original SB audigy card that's worked for year, I got a new computer over the summer and hated the op-board so I plugged in the audigy, it worked fine, then one day I unplugged the headphones because the wire was tangled in something, i fixed the cable, plugged it back in and no sound ever since. I've installed a few drivers off the creative site, checked the volume 10000x and and no idea what's going on, the card is fully recognized by windows so I know it's running, but I'm really stumped here =/

this shows that it is fully recognized by xp and shows that everything should be working right

 

try to remove all the driver remove the card from pc re-install card and driver and see if it fix the problem....

 

Also, do you have any unknown devices that you can't find drivers for? A lot of the time, the audio codec doesn't get installed, which prevents the audio from outputting.

 

have you tried another pair of headphones? the wires could have broke and thus no sound since it was tangled. i assume it's plugged into the correct headphone jack on the back of the card. it's easy to plug into the wrong jack on the back of the computer.

 

it's also possible the output jack is no longer working. However, that's the last thing i'd look at after checking out all other possibilities.
