    After I bought the Sims 3, I realized I don’t have the system requirements how would I go about getting more ram and a new video card. The requirements are:


    System RAM (XP) 1 GB RAM; (Vista) 1.5 GB RAM [If built-in graphics then add 0.5 GB additional RAM] My computer: 1015.4 MB
    Video Card 128 MB Video Card, with support for Pixel Shader 2.0 (NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 or above " ATI Radeon 9500 or above " Intel GMA 3-series or above) My computer: Intel(R) 915GM"GMS,910GML Express Chipset
    Video RAM 128 MB My computer: 116.2 MB

    What motherboard do you have?
    Try going to crucial.com and seeing what ram you system needs, Also in the Bios you can change the shared ram your graphics card takes, but depending on the mother board may be better getting a separate graphics card

    You have the minamum processor, but will need to allocate more system memory to the graphics card in the BIOS (del or F2 when booting) and adding some more ram would be required. Adding another 1GB would be enough.

    I thought I should mention that when the game starts up it says that the video card is unsupported.

    So does that mean I have to get a new video card? Can I even install a new video card on a laptop?

    You didn't say it was a laptop before :confused

    That makes things more difficult rolleyes

    I know very little about harware installation within laptops:-o

    It sounds like you need a new graphics card though.
