site-wide search and replace?

    does anyone know of a free/open source software to batch-process .html files?
    there are a couple hundred pages i need to update links etc..
    iv'e had bad luck with every program/site iv'e tried. dead links, download accelerators, spyware...you get the picture :rolleyes:

    i'm all googled out here.

    thanks, i could really use that one, too.

    not 15 minutes after i posted, i found this gem:

    http://www.orbit.org/replace/

    it can replace text strings (with variables) within multiple files in a directory.
    man, that thing just saved me days worth of manual editing.
