I apparently hit an obscure key combination in Outlook 2003 (running on Win 7 64bit) Home Premium. Now, when I enter info (NOT when I read my mail) I see 217 columns of data!!! The text appears to be about 1 or 2 point. The only way to see it is to increase text size, which makes my recipients think I'm shouting at them. When someone replies to me I see THEIR message and my text as normal!

HOW do I get my screen view back to about 80 columns?

Troubleshoot views Microsoft Outlook automatically resizes all columns in the view to fit in the Outlook window. That way you don't have to scroll to see the columns. However, if your view has too many columns to fit in the window, you need to turn off automatic column sizing so you can scroll to the right to see the columns.

    1. On the View menu, point to Current View, and then click a table view type.
    2. On the View menu, point to Current View, and then click Customize Current View.
    3. Click Other Settings.
    4. Clear the Automatic column sizing check box.
