skins

What does failed to download skins mean? I went to a site and got this message, Is it something with the site or with IE 8? Ive tried uninstalling IE 8 and going back to 7 but with no luck.

 

Just following up with this: I'm hoping that someone can help me or explain what has happened. A little more detail for you.

I am trying to use a cam/chat site that I have used before. everything on the site works for me other then when trying to access the cam/chat section. That is when I get the Failed to download skin files. This has never happened to me before. The site uses a Camfrog active X control which I have already tried to delete and reinstall, delete my browsing history, did a system restore, turn my firewall off and my ativirus, tried using MOzilla with no luck as the site will only run with IE windows vista, xp, etc. I have also been trying to scan my computer for viruses/malware using windows one care live.

I've also checked for codecs and believe that the site is correctly added into my trusted list in IE 8

I run windows xp and use IE8. I did have problems with the site when I went to IE 8 but then found out about the compatability button which is no help as I have also deleted IE 8 and went back IE 7.

Any help you can give me would be great. I am stumped and have been posting questions with avast, microsoft, the 'website' and I have tried to contact camfrog with out any luck so far. If skins aren't downloading what is the problem?
