Skype connection issues

Hi

I'm having some connection issues with Skype and I'm not sure if it's a software issue, computer issue of the person I'm calling, or mine. We always start out with a fast connection, 5 green bars, and shortly go to yellow, then red. Most times, I can see them fine, but I'm pixelated on their end and the audio gets wonky (technical term that ) I'm on Windows 7 64 bit, 6 GB RAM, my webcam is built in my HP laptop, and if it helps, I use Trend Micro for antivirus and firewall.

Any help you can offer would be most appreciated.

I don't use skype (I use AIM for video), but from what I've heard your symptoms are pretty common. I'm not sure what to tell you to do except maybe try calling at different times of the day. You might get lucky and hit a time when traffic is low and you get better bandwidth.
