Skype help sucks. Hopefully I can get some help here.

So Skype has this neat little feature called "callto://" which allows one to associate Skype to phone numbers which are on web pages.

The way to turn this on is to go to Tools>Options>Advanced>Advanced settings and click the check box next to "Use Skype to call callto: links on the web".

Unfortunately, this does not exactly work. I seem to remember there was one more thing that needed to be turned on before this will work but I cannot find it.

The Skype online help has nothing on this other than telling you that you can do it. There is no step-by-step instruction on how to make the feature work. I guess they are too busy stroking Oprah to design a decent help page.

Any help out there?

To call a regular phone number you must have that feature enabled with skype, pretty sure thats an additional charge.

 

I have a subscription to Skypeout.
