Figured we should create a thread for all Skyrim tips since it will be the hottest thing going for a few months. And I'm in need of help....
I'm getting one shotted <<---- (spelling) by a freaking draugh deathlord in Saarthal. Anyone else having this problem? I can't sneak attack with bow and doing pretty good damage, but i've been killed now 26 times tring to get the guy glitched somewhere while I whale on him. Any tips on how to beat this guy? I already know he's resist to poison and 50% resist to frost. Maybe I'll turn the diff back to normal.

    Great idea for a thread!

As for your issue, not sure if I've come across him or not, been down that way many times and fought lots of nastys.
What I've done with enemies that are/were too hard to drop, example being 2 Giants and 3 Mammoths while at level 12 lol, I ran around and climbed the rocks (there's always something to climb) and then take them down at distance, took a long damn time but it worked because any ledge/jump that requires a "jump" most enemies will just run around below you or stand still. Now, if they are firing stuff at you then you simply have to use cover up top too.
I know, this is all good in theory but putting it into practice ain't quite as easy lol
The battle I spoke of above actually started off with me chasing a dragon (not to be confused with chasing THE dragon lol)

Oh 1 other thing, if you have the "Marked For Death" shout, that will help as it breaks down armor and health.

..........Ohhhhhhhh, I just googled which guy that was, yeah he was a biotch to take down.
I took him down with dual steel swords, 1 enchanted with 8 pnts Health Absorb and 1 with 16 pnts of Fire. While throwing the Marked for Death (although not 100% sure it was doing anything. And also hitting him with dual fire bolts.
I was about level 18 when I did this.
    Very tough.
Took some doing but he went down eventually.

I just got stuck of that damn Esbern quest in the Ratway/Riften. When you all get there, let me know and I'll get you the solution. :cool I wish there were a lil * or something beside the MAIN plot quest instead of clumping them all together.

I may or may not have done that lol, I put 66 hours into that game last week and don't remember half of what I did :-D I'll have to check.

As for the star/marker for the main quest, yeah it's a little annoying. Fallout 3/NV was like that, you end up with a quest list as long as your arm and have no idea what's what. Although they did separate side quests which is nice.

I'd also like to see the inventory split up a bit more, having enchanted/Non enchated jewellery and clothing AND Armor all together gets disorganized.

See I like to carry a "Set Up" that gives me as many options to fight as possible but still leaves me with room to pick up stuff.

So at any given point I have...

    Full set Heavy Armor
    Full set of Magic clothing
Several Rings and Necklaces covering a set of each (+Magika, +1 Hand, +Strength.
Extra gloves and boots for sneaking.

Lump all that together WITHOUT me picking anything up gives me a total of 15 items all in 1 menu section.

    Then weapons I carry ....

4 Ebony swords (1 each for Flame, Ice, Soul, Health absorb)
    4 Ebony Daggers (as above)
    1 Bow
    2 Staffs
And usually 2 or 3 different arrows

    Again, 14+ items.

Then list the Ore, Ignots etc mixed with general junk etc etc etc.

It can get pretty messy, I basically complete a quest and then go back to my house and unload.... and of course occasionally accidently pick up everything in a chest lol

Put it this way, I have a chest for each...

    Food
    Ingredients
    Armor
    Magic clothing
    Potions
    Enchanted Jewellery
    Empty Jewellery/Stones
    Soul Gems
    Ore/Ingots/Leather
    Clothes
    Books
    1 handed Weapons
    2 handed weapons
    Staffs
    Special/Valuable items
Junk that might come in handy :-D

So thats 16 chests and THAT is how I would like the inventory menu split :)

Hey not sure if you all have looked at any of the mods, but I just DL'ed a better performance mod. I went from auto detecting game on med, to high. Here's a link for those interested. All you do is extrect the files to the main skyrim folder, not the data folder.

Aint got the game near me ATM. But isn't there a silver sword (that you get given or find in the very beginning) that's particulary effective against the undead? :confused If I come across an enemy I have trouble with I just turn myself into a werewolf LOL

I havn't become a werewolf yet, I followed a different path, as soon as I was free of the main story way back at the execution I was off on my own little adventure. Ventured wayyyyy over the other side of the map to Markarth and have to admit fought some enemies that were waaay out of my league. :-D

My mate called me a fog with an "a" because I used the bow and arrow to drop a giant at level 5, I didn't glitch it, I just got out of the Giants range ontop of some rocks :-D
But he calls me that and hen professes to becomming a werewolf and ripping enemies apart with ease.
I'm like "So I'm a fg for using a bow and arrow but you're a real tough guy for turning into a psycopathic hungry supermutated half human half super wolf?.... Good One"

I'm actually thinking I might start a new character, keep my old save but now I understand the game a hell of a lot more than I did I feel like I can really mould my guy into the Friendly, honest, hard working , armor plated KILLING machine I want him to be! :strong

@Lego.... Yeah I might look at the mods, the same mate in the above told me they release a performance mod very early on. I've never had much luck with mods those, something always goes wrong and I have to spend hours fixing it, dunno if it's something I'm doing, I follow all the steps etc but something always goes wrong and it's almost ALWAYS something no one else has had lol
