    Eh ?
The connection cables are usually different for floppy drives aren't they ?

Howver, if it is connected (adapter or compatible cable ?) you could check if it shows up in the Management Console.

    Control Panel
    Admin Tools
    Computer Management
    Disk Management

Is that a PATA or SATA HDD?

If parallel with ribbon cable, try different jumper selections on back of HDD. As in DS (drive Select) master, CS (cable select), or maybe jumper CL (capacity limit).

If serial, it should work with no changes.

If for whatever reason you hooked it up to the secondary ribbon and the A drive was the only thing on it ..you would set it to master ....but you would need to tell the bios what to boot to first...as in NOT the A drive. Then as said...check in disc management for the drive.
